Oragami napkins

It was so fun to see your new chore being to set the table for dinner. You really don’t like emptying the dishwasher but you seem to be OK with doing the table. And since your recent Hobbe for the last year two has been making a lot of origami you even for the napkins and origami shapes. Pretty amazing and fun to see you proud of your creations.

First fever

You had your first fever the past two days. It was 37.8 and didn't go up higher so we just waited out and you got better today.  You been having runny nose hopping you will get better soon.

9 month check up

you seems to be always easy going.  You didn’t mind when the nurse getting your head measured and moving your hips, listening to your lungs.  You are such a happy baby! We are blessed to have you.
Now you are 17.10lbs and 70cm tall, 35cm for your head!

All done and clapping

you can now commincate with us when you are all done eating.  You would clap your hands and say all done! When you see that we understand you you have this proud face!

Words

The other day at Hannah's wedding, Suz said bye bye to you, and you said ,"babababa, babababa." I couldn't you would be saying that, but then we tried again and you said it again.  So cute! You are smart little girl.  You now say ,"mama, papa,gege" You were trying hard to say gege the other day on your change table. I remember the look on your face, looking at him intently and focused.  Soaking in all the information you can.

Crawling at 7 month

You were on the move last Sunday at Mike's house.  You saw Luna and you were determined and pulling yourself forward with your arms.  You are on all fours now after 8 month.  The past two weeks you improved a lot!

I love holding you in the carrier. Pretty much every day you spend a good chunk of time there. Wirh you I took a full parental leave and so have had a ton of time to be home and with you. We cut the grass, cut bushes, cook. 

 

Now you are getting a bit more active and strong so you like to grab things that are not the best to grab. Like in the morning when you sit in my lap you keep grabbing my bowl and nearly dumping the contents. 

I love having you so cuddly and close! Love papa

You have been able to roll both sides and go on your fours, also Da mi ya taught you how to go from on your tummy to sitting and you have been doing that ever since.  Sometimes when you are sleeping on your tummy, you would get stuck in the half sitting position with your hands supporting your body and cry out to call me.  I would go rescue you.

Mama's girl

This week you started making strange and whenever you see me you wanted me.  It was so cute to see you have this pouty face. Crying and kinda saying meamea.  At 6 mouth and a half you are making strange now.

Sometimes you would have this little growl when you are having fun.

So fun to see you learn to sit all by yourself now. We are with the Watts renting a cottage. So fun to see you play, chew and grab stuff. You just learned to sit alone this last week or so. 

 

Napping

I love napping with you in the afternoon together in our bed.  It's been a while till now you are five month old.  Not only you have two teeth this week, you napped with Selah in the same room in your own crib this afternoon, and you slept in the morning in your crib too.  I can't believe it, you are growing up too fast!  You been sleeping through the night the past three nights.  You are such a calm, sweet baby.

You turned over from back to front

Dear Emi,

You started to roll over once in a while, and on Sunday at Mike's house you started to roll over every few seconds.  You mastered this skill then.  So exciting!

Giggle

You giggled today when papa was throwing the carpet in the air and you felt the wind and giggled. He tried it again and you giggled again.

We tried putting you on your tummy and you were able to turn over already at 8 weeks. 

7 weeks old

7 weeks old today and you required a new skill! Found your finger/hand! And you also slept 6 hours last night! Incredible!

Your first smile

You had a big smile today after bath.  You cooed And had a big smile at mama.   What a privilege for me to see that. 

Sleeping since 9 till noon!

That's record. After feeding almost every two hours you slept a long stretch and it's hard to wake you. 

16 days

16 days since you were born.  You gained weight the last four days and I am so thankful. Now you weigh 7lbs and 11 oz.  We were worried that you were not gaining weight. 

This morning I did some skin to skin with you and carried you in a ring sling in the late afternoon, gave you a bath and more skin to skin to warm you up after your bath.  You slept so well right after and just did your first dream feed! Amazing! You are sleeping in my arms right now as I write this. Love hearing you breath and all the little newborn sounds!  Papa gave you a kiss before he went to bed.  Your Gege loves you and jiejie loves you all a lot.  I love you my dear Emi! You are a gift from God.
